William Wallace “Bill” Fryer, a retired Sears service technician, veteran of U.S. Navy Reserve, widower of Patricia Mae Biddle Fryer, died Saturday, July 16, 2016 at his home. He was born January 6, 1937 in Richmond, Kentucky, son of the late Wallace Clayton and Ida Frances Edwards Fryer. Bill was the former owner of Independent Service, owner along with Tim Howlett of Bill’s Woodworking, and was a Kentucky Colonel. He is survived by two sons, Billy Martin Fryer, Waco, Myron (Kathy) Fryer, Paris; three daughters, Mitzi (Garey) Allen, Marla Jo Fryer, Maye Fryer, all of Paris; four grandchildren, Ashley Allen, Broch Allen, Kutten Fryer, Shevas Wells; two great grandchildren, Kelsi Allen, Haley Allen; two stepsons, Hart Sledd, Kenney Sledd; a stepdaughter, Elizabeth “Libby” Sledd; and two step grandchildren, Spencer and Emily Sledd. Family and friends will gather to celebrate Bill’s life on held Saturday, July 23, from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Barr House.
