Obituary for Gladys Carol Hammonds (Hubbard)

Gladys Carol Hubbard Hammonds, 82, of Winchester, a retired logistics management specialist at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama, widow of Home Hammonds, died Thursday, November 17, 2016 at the University of Kentucky Good Samaritan Hospital. She was born January 3, 1934 in Zanesville, Ohio, daughter of the late Russell and Effie Harlan Hubbard and was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Winchester. Mrs. Hammonds is survived by a daughter, Vicky (Jerry) Royalty, Paris; two grandsons, Chris Royalty, Josh Royalty; a great grandchild; and a sister, Shirley McCAllister, Zanesville, Ohio. She was preceded in death by two sons, Willie Hammonds and Tim Rope. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 21, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with funeral service at 1:00 p.m. by Bro. Pat Finley. Burial will be in the Paris Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Chris Royalty, Josh Royalty, Wayne Johnson, Eddie Harms, David Lee Aldridge, and Bob Gilland.
