Ralph Parsons, 80, a retired senior administrative specialist for IBM, widower of Shirley Ann Stewart Parson, died Friday, July 7, 2017 at the Lexington VA Medical Center, Leestown Road. He was born May 28, 1937 in Paris, son of the late Milie C. and Hazel Irene Tipton Parsons. Ralph was a graduate of Paris High School, a member and Deacon of Paris Church of Christ, and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his children, Karen (James) Faircloth, Kansas, Kenneth R. Parsons, Winchester, Dave T. (Jenny) Parsons, Carlisle, Renee (Chad) Walker, Winchester; nine grandchildren, Adam Faircloth, Joshua Parsons, Hannah Parsons, Kassi Martin, Gannon Parsons, Whitney Walker, Dakota Walker, Kari Parsons, Carlie Parsons; four brothers, Harold (Bobbi) Parsons, Clyde (Nina) Parsons, Milie Parsons, Charles (Carolyn) Parsons; and three great grandchildren. A brother, Stoner Parsons, preceded him in death. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 11, at Hinton-Turner Funeral Home with burial in Evergreen Memory Gardens. Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Homestead Nursing Home, 1608 Versailles Road, Lexington, KY 40504.
