Obituary for William Earl "Hotshot" Hudnall

William Earl "Hotshot"  Hudnall
William Earl “Hotshot” Hudnall, 86, of Georgetown and formerly of Paris, U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, husband of Alice Ann Wigglesworth Hudnall, died Friday, July 28, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born February 16, 1931 in Paris, son of the late Hallie C. and Lola Dent Rankin Hudnall and was a 1949 graduate of Paris High School. Bill retired from the Kentucky Highway Department as a resident engineer to start his own land surveying business, then his love of golf led to a job at Houston Oaks Golf Course. Hotshot was a faithful member of Paris First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher for youth and adults. He coached Kiwanis youth for many years as well as Little League softball and also served as a referee. Bill is survived by his wife, Alice W. Hudnall, Georgetown; four sons, David (Bobbie Sue) Hudnall, Georgetown, Richard (Pam) Hudnall, Rancho Cucamonga, California, William D. (Stacye) Hudnall, Lexington, Chad Everett Hudnall, Lexington; eight grandchildren, Joshua (Jennifer) Hudnall, Jeremy (Christie) Hudnall, Lauren (Derrick) Breaux, Austin Hudnall, Bryson Hudnall, Jamison Blake Hudnall, Tyler Hudnall, Taylor Hudnall; seven great grandchildren, Lexie and Briley Hudnall, Halle and Jakelyn Hudnall, Jack, Chloe, and Levi Breaux; and two sisters, Patty Carpenter and Martha (Roy) Poe. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 4, at the First Baptist Church by Dr. Howard Beauman with burial in Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Joshua Hudnall, Jeremy Hudnall, Taylor Hudnall, Tyler Hudnall, Austin Hudnall, Bryson Hudnall, Lauren Breaux, Thomas Berry, and Stewart Wigglesworth. Honorary bearers will be Bobby Clay Sturgeon, Denver Pochodzay, John Marler, Gary Royalty, Timmy Sosby, Roy Poe, Curtis Cole, George Wigglesworth, James McIlvain, Price Huston, Ron Hunt, Bill Adkins, Rob Massie, John Conway, Kevin Kok, Marvin Sharon, Rodney Wayne Hudnall, and Buddy Stoner. Visitation will be 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to First Baptist Church, Bluegrass Care Navigators, or Speak Out and Rescue (SOAR), PO Box 904, Georgetown, KY 40324. Hinton-Turner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
