Elizabeth “Lib” Davis Wright, 98, widow of James Walton Wright, passed away peacefully in her home, Wednesday, September 6, 2017. She was born November 15, 1918, in Woodford County, to the late Harris Prewitt and Edna Buchanan Thompson Davis. Lib was a lifelong farmer and dedicated wife for 58 years, member of Millersburg Presbyterian Church where she was active in the Ladies’ Circle as well as the Millersburg Garden Club, and served as an election poll worker in the Millersburg Precinct 30+ years. Lib’s greatest joy was her family; she will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She is survived by her two sons, John Prewitt (Marsha) Wright, William Davis (Connie) Wright; a daughter, Charlotte Wright (Terry) Box; two sisters-in-law, Minnie Davis (the late Joe), Dorcas Davis (the late Luther); nine grandchildren; Mandy Wright (Chris) Denniston, Mia Wright (Kiley) Vaughn, Amy Wright (Brian) Courtney, David (Amy) Wright, Amy Box, Charlie (Jennifer) Box, Tyler (Blair) Box, Susan Box (Derek) Viens, Luke Box, and 16 great- grandchildren. Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by; a sister, Peggy Kiser; and three brothers, Luther, Joe, and Ray Davis. Her family expresses special appreciation to her loving caregivers, Kristie Petitt, Mildred Bennett, and Carolyn Evans. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Monday, September 11, at Millersburg Presbyterian Church by Rev. Erin Rouse with visitation at 11 A.M. Burial will be in the Millersburg Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Millersburg Presbyterian Church. Her grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pall bearers.
